We are an Australian-based e-commerce group managing six online brands. We are looking for an experienced, well-rounded SEO Specialist with strong technical SEO capabilities, excellent content writing skills, and a proactive approach to growing organic traffic through both on-page and off-page strategies.

You will:
- Conduct regular technical SEO audits across our Shopify stores (fix crawl errors, improve site speed, implement structured data, manage redirects, etc.)
- Optimise meta titles, descriptions, header structures, and content layout across product and collection pages
- Write and optimise blog posts, landing pages, and product descriptions based on keyword strategy and content gaps
- Implement and manage internal linking strategies to improve crawlability and user experience
- Research keywords and build comprehensive keyword maps across multiple brands
- Develop and execute white-hat link building strategies (e.g. digital PR, HARO, niche outreach, resource link building)
- Monitor organic performance via Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, and SEMrush
- Stay up-to-date with Google algorithm updates and proactively adjust strategy
**Must Have:**
- 3+ years experience in SEO for e-commerce, with hands-on experience in Shopify SEO
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, including schema, site structure, crawlability, indexing, etc.
- Proven ability to write optimised, clear, and engaging content for SEO purposes
- Familiarity with keyword clustering, topical authority building, and content frameworks
- Fluent English (written and spoken), with excellent grammar and proofreading skills
- Comfortable working remotely and independently, but also collaborating with marketing and dev teams
- Strong experience using tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and SurferSEO (or similar)
**Nice to Have:**
- Experience managing freelance writers or briefing content to others
- Link building experience with successful case studies
- Familiarity with AI tools (like ChatGPT) to support content research and drafts
- Knowledge of CRO and how SEO integrates into the full digital funnel
You’ll report to the Digital Marketing Manager and work across a portfolio of brands with varying tones and target audiences.
