Roofing Estimator / Project Manager

Cut Above Roofing is a trusted, locally owned roofing company based in the Waikato region. We’re looking for a virtual Roofing Estimator to support our team with accurate and efficient quoting across residential and light commercial projects.

You don’t need to be an expert in AppliCad or any one platform — as long as you have solid experience using digital estimating tools and a strong ability to read New Zealand architectural plans, we want to hear from you. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work remotely while contributing to a company that values quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed roofing estimates and take-offs
• Read and interpret NZ construction plans, elevations, and specifications
• Collaborate with our team to finalise quotes and pricing
• Track quote submissions and follow up on outstanding jobs
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure current material pricing
• Support project managers with technical knowledge when needed

Position Requirements:
• Experience in roofing estimating or a similar construction role
• Competency with any estimating software (e.g., AppliCad, Roof Wizard, Excel-based systems, etc.)
• Ability to accurately read and interpret New Zealand building plans
• Understanding of NZ roofing practices and profiles
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines

Desirable Qualities:
• Familiarity with NZMRM guidelines
• Experience quoting tray and corrugated long run profiles
• Located in New Zealand (preferred but not essential)
• A proactive, solutions-based mindset
