About the role
I'm looking for a highly motivated, detail-obsessed, and assertive Reverse Recruiter to manage my job search end-to-end. This is not a passive role. I need someone who takes ownership, drives the process, and holds me accountable — not the other way around. If I go quiet, follow up. If a deadline is approaching, flag it. If there's a better way to do something, bring it to me with a solution, not a question.
You'll research opportunities, tailor application materials, submit on my behalf, and keep everything meticulously organized — operating largely independently, without hand-holding.
What you'll do
- Search relevant job listings daily across LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Monster, Glassdoor, company career pages, and any other high-yield sources you identify
- Tailor my resume and cover letter to each job description — thoughtful customization, not find-and-replace
- Submit applications through portals or
- Maintain a detailed application tracker in Google Sheets (company, role, date applied, link, status, follow-up actions)
- Proactively follow up on submitted applications at appropriate intervals, without being asked
- Flag interview requests, recruiter messages, or any responses immediately — don't wait for a check-in
- Remind me of actions on my end, and follow up if I'm slow to respond
- Continuously identify ways to improve the process and bring them forward
Work style — non-negotiable
- You're a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do next. You anticipate needs, solve problems before they become problems, and keep things moving at all times. You're organized to a fault, proactive by default, and comfortable holding a client accountable: if something's overdue, you say so; if something could be done better, you say so. I want someone who's on top of this at all times — not someone I have to chase.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing job searches and submitting applications on behalf of clients
- A track record of success — clients who received interviews, offers, or landed roles as a result of your work
- Prior experience with clients in the technology sector (software, product, data, IT) is a strong plus
- A background in VA work, recruiting, or HR is advantageous
Technical skills
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong, impeccable English writing — you'll be customizing professional documents
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Indeed, and other major US job boards is required
AI proficiency — highly valued
The ability to use AI tools effectively is a strong differentiator. Preference, in order:
- Claude (Anthropic) — highest preference; specific familiarity with Claude is a meaningful advantage
- ChatGPT / OpenAI — highly valued
- Any other AI/LLM tools (Gemini, Copilot, Jasper, etc.) — valued
- No AI experience — considered, but ranked lower
How to apply
I review applications only through my hiring page — not through OnlineJobs messages. Apply here: zurl.to/NZBM
It takes about 5 minutes. You'll share your experience with job boards, one or two specific client outcomes, how you stay organized, the AI tools you use, your rate and earliest start date, and your availability for a quick 30-minute intro call. Please apply through the link rather than replying here.
