Residential New Construction Painter Estimator (with Commercial Experience)

We are a leading residential painting contractor specializing in new construction projects. With a strong foundation in South Florida, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work, on time, and within budget. Our projects range from custom-built homes to large-scale residential developments. We are now seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Residential Painter Estimator who also has commercial experience and is proficient in the latest industry software to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate, detailed estimates for residential new construction painting projects.
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
Utilize the latest takeoff and estimating software (such as PlanSwift, , or similar) to perform digital quantity takeoffs.
Collaborate with builders, project managers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
Develop competitive bids while ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives.
Track and analyze historical cost data to improve future estimating accuracy.
Participate in pre-construction meetings and assist with project handoffs to operations teams.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a painting estimator, with a focus on residential new construction.
Proven commercial painting estimating experience is a plus.
Proficiency with the latest digital takeoff and estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, , or comparable tools).
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction documents.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
