Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized, client-focused Remote Project Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of custom sign projects. In this role, you will act as the central coordinator between clients, designers, production teams, vendors, and installers. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards, all while working remotely with strong digital tools and processes.
This is a key role for scaling our operations without expanding physical office space. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment and excels at managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial quote through final installation and follow-up.
• Gather project requirements, manage design reviews, approvals, and revisions using digital proofing tools.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation using project management software.
• Coordinate with the in-house production team, shop leads, and subcontractors to schedule fabrication, assembly, shipping, and installation.
• Track material orders, lead times, and inventory needs; proactively manage supply chain risks.
• Handle change orders, scope adjustments, and client communications professionally.
• Monitor project budgets, profitability, and margins; flag and resolve variances quickly.
• Conduct regular virtual check-ins with clients and internal teams; provide clear status updates and risk reports.
• Ensure all projects meet quality standards and compliance requirements (permitting, safety, etc.).
• Maintain accurate project documentation, photos, and records in our shared systems.
• Continuously improve workflows and templates for common sign types to increase efficiency.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 3+ years of Project Management experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, signage, or a similar custom/project-based industry (strongly preferred).
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Know how to create and manage a Gantt Chart
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall + Agile/hybrid approaches).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, you’re comfortable being the “face” of the company to clients.
• High proficiency with Microsoft project management tools and cloud file-sharing platforms.
• Experience with e-signature tools, digital proofing, and basic CRM/ERP systems is a plus.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, or shop drawings is highly desirable.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, professional remote workspace.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Background in signage, graphics, printing, metal fabrication, or architectural products.
• PMP, CAPM, or similar certification.
• Familiarity with common sign materials (acrylic, aluminum, vinyl, LED lighting, etc.) and typical lead times.
• Experience managing installation logistics and permitting processes.
