JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Operations Assistant to support our vacation rental services company's operations on the US West Coast and Mountain Markets. Your primary role will involve preparing and building optimized routes for our markets, as well as providing exceptional driver support through text and phone communication. This role requires someone with excellent organizational skills, familiarity with logistics, and strong English proficiency.

This is a full-time role with potential for growth based on performance and company needs. The ideal candidate has previous experience in route optimization, logistics, or dispatching, and is eager to become an integral part of our operations team.

Markets will include Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, etc.

If you don't possess this background, we're open to teaching you the basics, though this will reflect a lesser salary of US$450 to start; however, after 60 - 90 days, the rate will be increased to US$553 at the discretion of your manager, if you meet the key metrics within 90 days.

After 6 months, if metrics are met and you have "graduated" from Ops Assistant, you will become an Ops Coordinator with a monthly salary of US$722.5, as your responsibilities continue to develop.

The foreseeable end goal for this position is Ops Manager with a monthly salary of US$1360; however, please expect this to take time and continued development.

Responsibilities (For Ops Assistant):

Route Building (Primary Focus)
- Prepare and optimize weekly routes for waste bin management services.
- Ensure routes are prepared by Saturday 9 am PST weekly.
- Collaborate with market managers during the initial weeks to ensure logical and efficient routing.


Driver Communication
- Provide driver support via text and phone calls using OpenPhone.
- Notify drivers about routes and address their questions or concerns.
- Maintain professional and clear communication at all times.


Administrative Support
- Update and manage data in Upgrade to see actual info and Google Sheets.
- Communicate with the central operations team via Slack.
- Self-correct errors or proactively seek guidance when necessary.


Continuous Improvement
- Adapt and improve processes based on feedback.
- Work towards increasing autonomy in routing and driver management.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience with Google Sheets or other spreadsheet software.
- Availability Sunday - Friday, the only off day is Saturday
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly.

Preferred:
- Familiarity with internal databases.
- Previous experience in logistics, dispatching, or route optimization.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of Slack and OpenPhone or similar tools.

Work Schedule and Hours:

Sunday through Friday
- Route Preparation: 2 hours per week
- Driver Communication: Continuous throughout the week
- Dealing with strategic customers: Continuous throughout the week
- Base: 42.5 hours
- Additional hours as needed, paid hourly based on your monthly salary

This role is paid weekly via direct deposit.

Performance Metrics:
- Accurate and efficient route creation with minimal errors.
- Timely completion of routes.
- Effective and professional communication with drivers and the operations team.
- Additional metrics as needed
