Remote Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join our team on a 12-month remote contract. This role supports a U.S.-based client and involves working with advanced networking technologies including Cradlepoint, Cisco Meraki, and VMware VeloCloud. You'll be instrumental in designing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise LAN/WAN and SD-WAN environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain secure, high-availability network infrastructure
Configure routers, switches, wireless controllers, and firewalls across multiple vendor platforms
Troubleshoot complex network performance issues (Tier 2/3 level support)
Optimize SD-WAN environments for cost and performance
Collaborate on new site builds, migrations, and upgrades
Maintain thorough network documentation (diagrams, SOPs, configurations)
Stay updated on emerging networking tools and best practices

Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer
Strong hands-on expertise with:
Cradlepoint NetCloud / LTE / 5G edge devices
Cisco Meraki (MX, MR, MS)
VMware VeloCloud SD-WAN

Solid understanding of:
Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
VPNs, VLANs, NAT, QoS

Familiarity with:
Meraki Dashboard, VeloCloud Orchestrator, SolarWinds
Experience with scripting/automation tools (Python, Ansible)
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):
Relevant certifications such as:
CPNA/CPNE
CMNA
CCNA/CCNP
VCP-NV
Experience with cloud networking platforms (Azure, GCP)
