Remote Lab Analyst

Job Summary
We are looking for a lab analytical chemist who has a strong background in analytical chemistry and worked in previous laboratory environments. The candidate will need to be familiarized with LCMS and/or GCMS instrumentation and software to remotely analyze LCMS data for 66 pesticides and/or GCMS data for 20+ manufacturing solvents.

General Duties:
• Perform required analysis of LCMS and/or GCMS data along with required quality control samples.
• Assist in setting up, calibration, and troubleshooting instruments.
• Monitoring performance data and the validity of the analyses for the laboratory.
• Ensure and work under frameworks of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO 17025
• Provide and establish all proper documentation for best laboratory testing practices & update as necessary.
• Upload data into LIMS and generate batch reports.
• Flexibility, and preparedness to adjust to rapidly developing priorities and carry multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify patterns in data analysis and report any findings to the supervisor.

Qualifications
• Laboratory instrumentation experience (3-5+ years) with Sciex, Agilent, Waters, Shimadzu, etc.
• Cannabis testing preferred or food safety/environmental lab background.
• Experience in Analytical Chemistry
• Experience in LCMS and/or experience in GCMS
• Experience with LIMS
• Experience working in the cannabis industry preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• A bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, agricultural, environmental, or related sciences from an accredited college or university, plus at least 2 years of full-time practical experience; a Master’s Degree is a plus.
• Experience in a regulated environment (ISO 17025, GLP, or GMP)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort and ability to work autonomously or with minimal guidance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
