multiple divisions including electronics, beauty, duty-free, and distribution. With multiple retail
outlets and a centralized warehouse (“Bond”), the company is focused on building a world-class,
data-driven inventory system that supports growth, efficiency, and profitability.
The Remote Inventory Analyst plays a mission-critical role in achieving this vision
ROLE PURPOSE
The Remote Inventory Analyst is responsible for owning and controlling inventory intelligence
across all locations.
This role ensures:
• The right products are in the right stores at the right time
• Stock is proactively replenished, not reactively requested
• Inventory is balanced, optimized, and fully visible
• All stock movements are accurately recorded and controlled in Lightspeed Retail POS
This position replaces guesswork with data-driven decision-making
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Inventory Monitoring & Analysis (DAILY CONTROL)
• Monitor stock levels across:
• Bond (central warehouse)
• All retail outlets
• Analyze:
• Sales velocity per SKU per location
• Days of stock cover
• Stock-out risks
• Overstock / slow-moving items
• Identify:
• Gaps in stock availability
• Imbalances between locations
• Dead stock risks
2. Automated Replenishment Management
• Proactively initiate:
• Bond ? Store transfers
• Store ? Store transfers
• Ensure:
• Stores are replenished based on data, not manual requests
• Minimum and maximum stock levels are maintained
• Maintain and continuously improve:
• Replenishment logic (min/max levels)
• Stock coverage targets (e.g., 2–4 weeks)
3. Purchase Order (PO) Creation & Supplier Coordination
• Create all supplier POs in the system based on:
• Supplier invoices / proformas
• Reorder analysis
• Ensure:
• POs are created in advance of shipment arrival
• All incoming goods are properly recorded
• Track:
• PO status (ordered, in transit, received)
• Supplier timelines
• Missing or short-shipped items
• Coordinate with:
• Finance (for payment processing)
• Warehouse (for receiving readiness)
4. Pre-Allocation of Incoming Inventory
• Analyze incoming shipments BEFORE arrival
• Allocate quantities across:
• Retail outlets
• Bond stock
• Create transfer plans so that:
• Stores can see stock “in transit”
• Warehouse can execute dispatch immediately upon arrival
5. Store Stock Optimization
• Continuously monitor:
• Store-level stock performance
• Identify:
• Fast-moving SKUs needing replenishment
• Slow-moving SKUs requiring redistribution
• Execute:
• Inter-store transfers to optimize sell-through
6. Stock Health & Performance Reporting
Generate and maintain daily dashboards including:
• Out-of-stock report
• Low stock alerts
• Overstock / dead stock report
• Inventory valuation
• Sell-through rates
• Stock aging analysis
• Open POs and pending transfers
7. Inventory Accuracy & Control
• Monitor and enforce:
• Accurate stock levels across all locations
• Review:
• Daily store stock counts
• Warehouse cycle counts
• Investigate:
• Variances and discrepancies
• Negative stock situations
• Flag issues immediately to management
8. Transfer Management & Tracking
• Create and track all stock transfers:
• Ensure proper documentation and system entry
• Monitor:
• Transfers not yet received
• Delays in dispatch or confirmation
• Ensure:
• Full visibility of stock in transit
9. Loss Prevention & Cost Control
• Identify:
• Shrinkage patterns
• Unusual stock movements
• Repeated discrepancies by location
• Support:
• Return-to-supplier processes
• Supplier claims for missing goods
• Ensure:
• No unauthorized stock adjustments
10. System Integrity & Process Discipline
• Maintain strict discipline in:
• PO creation
• Stock transfers
• Inventory records
• Enforce:
• No manual stock entries outside system processes
• Continuously improve:
• Inventory workflows
• Reporting accuracy
• Data cleanliness
SYSTEMS & TOOLS
• Lightspeed Retail POS (Primary system)
• Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (Advanced level required)
• Inventory dashboards and reporting tools
• Communication tools
DAILY / WEEKLY WORKFLOW EXPECTATIONS
Daily:
• Review stock levels across all outlets
• Trigger replenishment transfers
• Monitor open POs and transfers
• Review stock discrepancies
• Update dashboards and alerts
Weekly:
• Adjust min/max stock levels based on trends
• Conduct stock balancing across outlets
• Analyze dead stock and slow movers
• Submit performance reports to management
Monthly:
• Review overall inventory performance
• Recommend improvements in stock strategy
• Support financial stock valuation and reporting
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
• Stock availability rate (% of SKUs in stock)
• Reduction in stock-outs
• Inventory turnover rate
• Reduction in dead stock
• Accuracy of inventory (variance %)
• Timeliness of PO creation and transfers
• Reduction in negative stock occurrences
• Store replenishment efficiency
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education:
• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field
Experience:
• 3–5+ years in inventory, supply chain, or retail analytics
• Experience managing multi-location inventory (preferred)
• Experience with POS/inventory systems (Lightspeed preferred)
Technical Skills:
• Advanced Excel (MANDATORY)

• Data analysis
