We are a long-established law firm based in Dublin, Ireland, seeking a mature and experienced Compliance & Risk Manager with a legal background to support our internal compliance processes, monitoring obligations, and risk oversight.

This is a remote contractor role, ideally suited to someone who has previously worked in a law firm in a compliance, audit, or claims-handling capacity. The position is for 14 hours per week, over 2–3 days, with flexibility around scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
• Track and monitor Land Registry (PRAI) applications and ensure follow-up on pending items
• Manage and update bank undertakings and maintain a central log
• Record, monitor, and support responses to client claims or complaints
• Oversee LSRA notifications, prepare internal responses or follow-up documentation
• Maintain internal risk registers and checklists across departments
• Assist in preparing for compliance audits (internal or Law Society)
• Periodically review firm policies and identify operational risk areas
• Prepare weekly or monthly compliance updates to senior management

Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in legal compliance, risk, or audit (Irish or UK legal sector preferred)
• Strong understanding of law firm operations, including undertakings, client accounts, and regulatory oversight
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Professional written English with clarity and precision
• Familiarity with PRAI processes, LSRA, and legal documentation
• Strong Excel and file management skills
• Discretion, maturity, and excellent judgment

Contract Terms
• 14 hours per week, worked flexibly over 2–3 days
• Contractor basis – responsible for your own tax and local compliance
• Communication by email, Zoom, and WhatsApp
• Secure access to necessary firm systems and shared folders
• Paid monthly via Revolut, Wise, or agreed method

Compensation
• Hourly rate: $9–$12 USD/hour, depending on experience
• Monthly (14 hrs/week): $550–$750 USD/month
