JMH Weiss, Inc Civil Engineers, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced AUTOCAD engineering technician on the Land Development Team in our Cupertino, CA office. The position involves working with civil engineers and designers to prepare the appropriate CAD drawings for construction plans for commercial and residential land development projects. We are looking for an individual who enjoys the challenge of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a remote Civil Engineer/Land Development Designer based in the Philippines to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in residential structural engineering, with a focus on wood framing. You will work closely with our U.S.-based team, assisting in the design and analysis of residential structures while developing your skills in a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with civil engineers to design, digitally draft, and prepare infrastructure projects (grading drainage and utility drawings) for Residential development projects
- Conduct design and analysis for civil engineering infrastructure projects
- Coordinate land surveying and prepare survey reports
- Assist in the design and implementation of stormwater treatment systems
- Prepare technical drawings and drafts using AutoCAD/Civil 3D software
- Conduct hydraulic analysis and design for various civil engineering projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD/Civil 3D software for drafting and design purposes
- Familiarity with stormwater quality treatment and hydraulics
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
