React Native / Expo Mobile App Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled React Native / Expo developer to join our early-stage app project. The main tasks involve testing and extending an existing front-end app generated by an AI tool (Rork), fixing bugs, and implementing backend logic to make the app functional.

Key Responsibilities:
Set up and run the current front-end code on Expo Go.
Review the existing screens, components, and user flows.
Fix issues and improve functionality based on feedback.
Work with TypeScript and React Native best practices.
Potentially integrate backend APIs (Node.js, Firebase, or other recommended stacks).
Collaborate on a private Slack channel.
Sign an NDA before accessing any proprietary materials.

We’re NOT starting from scratch. We have a working front-end “sandbox” and want to move it to a functional alpha-ready prototype. This is NOT a quick project, it’s a longer-term opportunity for the right person to grow with us.

Probationary Period:
All new hires will be brought on for a probationary period at half of the proposed monthly salary, which will be unique based on your skills, experience, and actual probationary performance. During this period, multiple candidates will be competing to see who has the real skills and who will remain on the team. Only the top-performing candidate(s) will be offered a permanent role at full rate.
