Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month.
Monitoring financial transactions and reports.
Processing accounts receivable and payable.
Controlling and managing payments from clients, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Processing checks.
Understanding ledgers.
Handling bi-weekly payroll using accounting software.
Please note, we are specifically looking for candidates who have experience working in the American market and are independent bookkeepers. We are not looking for a personal assistant to a bookkeeper. Additionally, experience with construction accounting in the U.S. is a requirement for this position.
Bookkeeper Requirements:
At least 5 years of U.S. bookkeeping experience within the construction industry.
Knowledge of construction pay apps (AIA, Procore, etc.).
Associate's degree in accounting.
Excellent knowledge of general U.S. accounting and bookkeeping principles.
Knowledge of bookkeeping software commonly used in the U.S. market.
Good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Solid Experience ( at least 5 years) with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
