The QA Engineer & Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of a financial trading platform. The role involves comprehensive testing of mobile features, validating transactions within the app, reviewing internal financial records, and reconciling them against application data.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with developers and product owners to ensure smooth releases and deliver a high-quality user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Functional Testing Execute test cases to validate functionality of the app.
- Transaction Review & Reconciliation Review internal financial records and in-app transactions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with backend systems.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plan, scope, and perform UAT for new features and releases.
- Defect Management Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution, collaborating with developers for timely fixes.
- Test Planning & Documentation Write and maintain clear test plans, test cases, and supporting documentation. Continuous Improvement Suggest and implement improvements to QA processes, regression coverage, and work with developers on test automation.
- Baseline Testing & Documentation Perform baseline testing by exploring and documenting the app’s current functionality to establish a reference point for future regression and UAT
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience testing financial applications.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies (functional, regression, UAT, exploratory).
- Familiarity with mobile testing (iOS, Android, both are PWA).
- Ability to review and reconcile transaction data with attention to detail. Experience writing structured test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Clear communication skills when working with developers and product owners.
Desirable
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Appium).
- Ability to run basic SQL queries and visualization tools for backend validation.
