Python Developer – Data Extraction & Analysis (10hrs - 40hrs / week)
I'm looking for a Python programmer who can turn messy CSV files into clean, usable information.
Book directly for an interview session here:
The work:
You'll receive CSV files containing raw data. Your job is to write scripts that extract, clean, transform, and organise that data into formats I can actually use — whether that's summary reports, structured spreadsheets, visualisations, or inputs for other tools.
What you'll do:
- Write Python scripts to parse and process CSV files
- Clean and standardise inconsistent or messy data
- Extract key information and present it clearly
- Build reusable, well-documented scripts that I can run again as new data comes in
- Adapt quickly when file formats or requirements change
What I'm looking for:
- Strong working knowledge of Python, particularly pandas and csv libraries
- Experience wrangling real-world data that doesn't arrive neatly
- You write clean, readable code with enough documentation that someone else could follow it
- You ask good questions upfront rather than guessing
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Nice to have:
- Experience with data visualisation (matplotlib, seaborn, or similar)
- Familiarity with Google Sheets API or Excel automation
- Basic understanding of databases or SQL
Details:
Remote / flexible hours
10 - 40 hrs / week if it's a good fit
Pay discussed after successful screening completed
If you're the kind of person who finds satisfaction in making sense of chaos, get in touch.
Interview:
You are invited to a group zoom interview screening workshop with multiple applicants.
For those who are a potential good fit there will be an additional interview and then a paid work trial.
We know we can't tell who you are or how good of a fit you are from your Resume / CV
This is why in our process we interview every applicant first in our Noticing Game
This makes sure we don't miss out on anyone who is a perfect fit
It also means that you apply once and you are considered for our other roles now and in the future
You are invited to book in directly for an interview session for your screening here:
There is nothing you need to prepare for this session
It will be conducted in English, and be predominantly written, however you will need to be on a computer and your video screen on
I look forward to seeing you in this session
