Project / Studio Manager (Design Agency)

Anyday is a product-design subscription studio. Funded startups and scaling teams pay us a flat monthly fee and get a senior design team on tap — no scoping wars, no per-project haggling, no hiring a $300k Head of Design. We design the products people actually use: fintech apps, banking flows, payments platforms, SaaS tools.

We're small, fast, and profitable. We run lean on a senior contractor model, we ship weekly, and we punch well above our size because we're systemised, not chaotic. Our clients stay because the work is good and because working with us is easy — and that second part is the job we're hiring for.

What we do
- Product design — app and web-app UI/UX for funded startups.
- Brand & web — identity systems and marketing sites alongside the product work.
- AI & automation — workflow audits and AI-assisted tools built into client products and our own ops.

We deliver through a small bench of senior designers, a fractional Head of Design (our founder), and tight, AI-augmented operations. You'd be the person who keeps that machine humming.

Why this role matters
Right now the founder is the bottleneck — he sells, designs, and runs every project. The studio is growing faster than one person can traffic. This role takes the entire delivery engine off his plate.

That means you're not a note-taker or a status-chaser. You run the studio floor. You decide who works on what, you protect the client relationship, and you're the reason a client opens Slack on Monday already knowing exactly where their project stands. Get this right and you become the operational backbone of a studio that's about to scale across multiple brands — with the autonomy and ownership that comes with being early.

We lean hard on AI to do this well. If you already use AI to summarise calls, draft status updates, triage requests, and move faster than a "normal" PM - you'll feel at home and you'll have room to build the system further.


What you'll do
- Traffic the studio — assign and balance design work across clients and designers so nothing slips and no one's overloaded.
- Own client communication — run a weekly Monday status update for every active client so they always know what's shipping, what's next, and what you need from them. Kill the mid-week "any update?" pings before they happen.
- Drive projects to done — track every deliverable in ClickUp against quoted scope; flag risks early; keep delivery on time and on brief.
- Guard profitability — track logged hours against quoted scope and surface overruns before they eat margin.
- Onboard new clients — set expectations, stand up channels, and get the first deliverable moving cleanly.
- Run our ops with AI — use AI tools to summarise calls, draft updates, triage requests, and tighten the delivery system over time.
- Keep the pipeline honest — maintain the proposal / project tracker (win rates, follow-ups, engagement) so we learn from every deal.

Must-haves
- Project / studio / traffic management experience — ideally at a design, creative, or digital agency.
- Excellent English communication — you'll be the client's main point of contact, written and on calls.
- Genuinely organised — you keep many moving projects clear in your head and in the tools.
- Tool fluency — ClickUp (or similar PM tools), Slack, and a real appetite for AI tools to work faster.
- Calm under load — comfortable juggling competing priorities without dropping balls.
- UAE / GST working-hours overlap for client calls and daily traffic.

Nice-to-haves
- Design or creative background (you don't design, but you should speak the language).
- FinTech / SaaS client exposure.
- Experience building or improving delivery systems and SOPs, not just running them.
- Comfort being early at a fast-scaling, multi-brand studio.

Engagement
- Type: Part-time contractor to start, scaling toward full-time as client load grows.
- Hours: ~20 hrs/week to begin, flexible. Daily presence matters more than block hours — the studio needs eyes on it every working day.
- Reporting: Works directly with the founder (fractional Head of Design); partners closely with the senior designers.
- Tools: ClickUp, Slack, Figma (viewing), plus our AI stack.
