You'll work directly with the founder, a physician-entrepreneur, and collaborate with a fast-growing team managing multiple businesses. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and lead the pre-opening activities of the coffee shop, ensuring that projects, vendors, timelines, and key deliverables are executed efficiently and on schedule.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the pre-opening project plan for Hope Coffee Company.
2. Research and coordinate with suppliers, vendors, consultants, and contractors (e.g., coffee equipment providers, branding agencies, POS vendors, and other service providers).
3. Coordinate meetings, follow-ups, and project updates using tools such as Asana, Google Workspace, and Notion.
4. Support menu development, barista training coordination, and vendor selection.
5. Monitor project timelines, task completion, and key milestones to ensure progress across all areas of the business.
6. Prepare weekly progress reports and participate in regular check-in meetings with the founder.
7. Proactively identify project risks, roadblocks, and potential delays, and recommend solutions.
8. Work remotely during business hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PST/PDT) while utilizing a time-tracking system.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality, coffee shop operations, project coordination, or a related field.
2. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
3. Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and dependable.
4. Comfortable working remotely during Pacific Time business hours and using a time-tracking system.
5. Strong project management, coordination, and follow-up skills.
6. Experience launching or supporting the launch of a café, restaurant, or hospitality concept is highly preferred.
