We're looking for a Product Development Manager who can source, develop, and launch products across multiple business models, particularly Print on Demand and Dropshipping.

Role Overview

As the Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for researching, sourcing, and developing products for an upcoming projects for a Pet Products Brand.

This is a project-based role focused on identifying winning products, developing assortments, creating product listings, and preparing products for launch.

We are looking for someone who can think beyond traditional suppliers and proactively find opportunities that create a competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Research product opportunities within the pet category
• Develop assortment plans and product recommendations
• Identify trending, evergreen, and high-potential products
• Propose new product concepts and collections
• Source products through dropshipping and print-on-demand suppliers
• Work with dropshipping agents and supplier networks beyond standard platforms
• Evaluate suppliers based on pricing, quality, branding options, and fulfillment capabilities
• Request quotations and compare supplier options
• Create and optimize product listings
• Edit and improve product descriptions and marketing copy
• Prepare product images and visual assets
• Create simple promotional videos using CapCut
• Create or modify print-on-demand designs when needed
• Develop product concepts suitable for POD production
• Prepare artwork and design files for suppliers
• Organize research, sourcing information, and product recommendations
• Present findings and recommendations clearly
• Work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements

• Experience in product development, sourcing, or e-commerce
• Strong knowledge of dropshipping business models
• Experience working with dropshipping agents and supplier networks beyond common platforms
• Experience with Print on Demand products and workflows
• Ability to create or modify simple product designs for POD
• Proficiency in CapCut or similar video editing tools
• Basic image editing skills
• Strong product research and trend-spotting abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver results

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the pet industry
• Experience with Shopify product launches
• Understanding of consumer trends and product positioning
