Product Designer - SaaS & AI Workflows (Contract)

Remote – Contract (3–6 months, potential long-term role)

About Summerall Law
Summerall Law is a technology-forward estate planning firm building a new platform called Essential Estates.
Essential Estates aims to automate and simplify estate planning and trust administration, reducing legal complexity and costs for families.
The platform will eventually power estate planning services for multiple law firms.


This is a contract role initially focused on delivering a high-impact system that will become a core part of the Essential Estates platform. What We’re Looking For
* Strong UX/UI portfolio demonstrating clean, modern, user-centered design.
* Strong understanding of user flows, information architecture, and interface design.
* Excellent visual design instincts with attention to detail.
* Strong English communication skills.
* Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
* Experience designing SaaS products, workflow systems, dashboards, or operational tools strongly preferred.
* AI-forward mindset with enthusiasm for using modern AI tools in design and operations workflows.
* Experience using AI-assisted design, prompting, rapid prototyping, or “vibe coding” tools to accelerate iteration and problem solving.
* Willingness to continually learn and adapt as AI-enabled workflows and technologies evolve.
* Interest in helping build highly efficient systems that combine human-centered design with automation and AI.
* Experience with no-code tools, automation systems, or AI workflow platforms is a plus.
* Experience working with U.S.-based companies preferred.

Time zone matching:
* Note that we work US Pacific time zone hours and would prefer if you could be available for meetings between about 1pm and 6pm Pacific time.
