JOB OVERVIEW

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lawyer or Paralegal with a strong background in probate administration to assist a law firm with handling probate cases efficiently. The ideal candidate must have at least 3+ years of experience in U.S. probate administration, preferably in Florida, and be well-versed in the procedural aspects of estate administration, court filings, and client communication. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple probate matters simultaneously.

Required Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of Florida probate laws, rules, and procedures.
• Experience in preparing and filing probate documents, including petitions, inventories, notices, and accountings.
• Ability to manage estate administration cases from start to finish.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as wills, trusts, letters of administration, and affidavits.
• Strong understanding of court procedures, deadlines, and case tracking.
• Experience communicating with clients, personal representatives, and beneficiaries to guide them through the probate process.
• Ability to coordinate with financial institutions, creditors, and other third parties for estate matters.
• Strong research skills, including familiarity with Westlaw and Florida court databases.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple probate cases.
• Proficiency in legal billing and case management software (e.g., Timeslips, Clio, MyCase, or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear and professional correspondence.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of probate administration experience in a U.S. law firm (Florida experience strongly preferred).
• Juris Doctor (JD) or Paralegal Certification from an accredited institution.
• Experience filing probate petitions and handling estate administration.
• Familiarity with Florida e-filing systems and probate court procedures.
• Prior experience in estate planning, wills, and trusts is a plus.
• Strong ability to work independently and remotely while meeting deadlines.
