Presentation Designer (PowerPoint / Pitch Decks) – Hourly, Ongoing Projects

PitchJoy is a presentation design studio creating pitch decks, investor presentations, and corporate presentations for startups, founders, and growing companies.

We're currently building a shortlist of presentation designers for upcoming client projects. This is not an immediate full-time role, we're looking for designers available for ongoing hourly project-based work as projects close.

What You'll Be Working On
Startup pitch decks & investor presentations
Sales decks and corporate presentations
Custom, brand-aligned slide systems built from scratch
Strategic visual storytelling that elevates client messaging
High-polish, investor-ready presentations with exceptional aesthetic execution

This role is presentation design only (not social media graphics, not just template customization).

Requirements
You must be a true designer who understands core design principles:
Composition, balance, and visual hierarchy
Typography (font pairing, scale, leading, kerning, typographic hierarchy)
Color theory and sophisticated color application
Grid systems and spatial relationships
Contrast, proximity, alignment, and repetition
White space as a design element

Technical Requirements:
Proven experience designing professional, custom presentations or pitch decks from the ground up
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and/or Google Slides
Mastery of layout construction and slide architecture
Ability to create elegant data visualizations (charts, tables, diagrams) that feel intentional
Understanding of visual storytelling and narrative pacing

What We're Looking For:
Someone who can design polished, sophisticated slides that feel cohesive and intentional
A designer who makes purposeful aesthetic choices, not arbitrary styling decisions
Work that demonstrates visual restraint, refinement, and design maturity
Slides that look effortless but are clearly the result of thoughtful design decisions
Portfolio that shows custom systems and original visual thinking

Not a fit if:
Your experience is mainly Canva templates, social media graphics, or modifying pre-built slide templates
You rely on drag-and-drop tools or generic PowerPoint themes
Your work lacks design fundamentals or visual sophistication
You don't have experience demonstrating mastery of design principles
