Presentation Designer

Presentation Designer (PowerPoint + Keynote) — East Coast Hours
I run a small video and creative studio in the US and I'm looking for a presentation designer to join the team. Most of the work is building decks for clients in healthcare, beauty, and consumer brands. Pitch decks, sales decks, case studies, internal training, conference presentations.
What you'd be doing:

Building presentations in PowerPoint and Keynote from client briefs
Following brand guidelines (fonts, colors, logos, tone) without me having to micromanage
Designing original layouts when there's no template, polishing existing decks when there is
Turning rough outlines or Google Docs into clean, professional slides
Sourcing or refining imagery, icons, charts, and data visualizations
Occasional motion or animated slide builds (nice to have, not required)

What I need from you:

Strong portfolio of presentation work. Not graphic design in general, actual decks
Expert in PowerPoint and Keynote. Comfortable in Illustrator and Photoshop for asset prep
Available during East Coast time, roughly 9am to 5pm ET. This is non-negotiable
Active on Slack. I send quick messages throughout the day and need quick replies, not silence for hours
Reads briefs carefully and asks questions when something is unclear
Updates me on progress without being asked. If you take a project on Monday and I don't hear from you until Thursday, this won't work
Handles a mix of fast turnaround requests and longer builds without losing track of either

What I don't want:

Designers who go quiet for days
Generic templated work that ignores the brief
Someone who only wants one type of project. Variety is part of the job

Logistics:

Start part time, 15 to 25 hours per week, with potential to grow
Long term role, not a one-off
Paid hourly, rate based on experience and portfolio
