We are looking for an experienced offshore audio editor to support our Australian podcast production team.
This role is suited to someone who is more than just a technical editor. We are looking for someone who understands storytelling, pacing, tone, emotion and how to shape audio into a polished, engaging podcast episode.
You must have strong English comprehension and the ability to edit content with context, not just remove mistakes. Experience working on narrative podcasts, interview-led shows or true crime content will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Edit long-form podcast episodes to a high professional standard
Understand story flow, pacing and emotional tone
Build soundscapes, music beds and atmosphere where required
Clean dialogue, balance levels and deliver broadcast-quality audio
Work confidently in Adobe Audition or Pro Tools
Handle sensitive subject matter with care, especially in the true crime genre
Follow production notes and feedback from our Australian team
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years’ experience in professional audio editing
Advanced skills in Adobe Audition and/or Pro Tools
Excellent English comprehension
Strong understanding of podcast structure and listener experience
Experience with true crime, documentary or narrative audio preferred
Additional work may be available for candidates who also have video editing skills.
