JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing cabinetry manufacturing company based in California, and we are looking for a dedicated Power Apps / Power Platform developer to help us continue building and improving our internal business systems.

Over the past couple of years, we have built several internal apps using Microsoft tools, including a Bidding App and a Project Central workflow app. These systems are already in use, but we need someone who can step in, understand what has been built, improve the current structure, and help us move much faster.

We are not looking for someone to just make small updates. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the platform, understand our business workflow, and help us build better systems that support our operations.

The next phase of our development includes:

Time tracking
Job-by-job profit and loss tracking
Invoice generation
Inventory and material ordering
Workflow automation
Power BI reporting
SharePoint and Microsoft 365 integration
Connecting data between multiple internal apps

Responsibilities:
Review and understand our existing Power Apps and Power Platform setup
Improve and clean up existing app functionality
Build new features and workflows based on business needs
Help organize data structure in SharePoint, Dataverse, or other Microsoft tools
Create automations using Power Automate
Help develop reporting dashboards using Power BI
Communicate clearly on progress, blockers, and recommendations
Work with our internal team to turn real business processes into usable software tools

Requirements:
Strong experience with Microsoft Power Apps
Experience with Power Automate
Experience with SharePoint lists, Dataverse, or similar data sources
Ability to understand business workflows and translate them into working apps
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
Experience with Power BI is a plus
Experience with invoice generation, inventory systems, job costing, or manufacturing workflows is a big plus

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to move quickly. Our current development progress has been slower than we need, so speed and ownership are important.

The right person does not need to know our industry yet, but they do need to be curious, organized, and able to understand complex workflows over time. We want someone who can become a long-term part of our systems development process.

Work Schedule:
Flexible schedule, but we need consistent communication and reliable weekly progress. Some overlap with California business hours is preferred for meetings and updates.

How to Apply:
Please send a short message explaining your experience with Power Apps and the Power Platform. Also include examples of apps, workflows, dashboards, or automations you have built.

Important Note: In the subject line of your application please use include "Bidding and Project Central Apps"

Please answer these questions in your application:

What Power Apps projects have you built before?
Have you worked with SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Automate, or Power BI?
Have you ever built systems for job costing, invoicing, inventory, time tracking, or workflow management?
Are you comfortable taking over an existing app and improving it?
What is your preferred hourly or monthly rate?

We are looking for someone who can start by reviewing our current system, identifying the biggest bottlenecks, and helping us build a clear path forward.
