JOB OVERVIEW

Podcast Audio Editor — Low Five Gaming

Low Five Gaming is a retro and indie gaming podcast hosted by two brothers out of Minneapolis. We talk about the games we grew up on, the ones we're playing now, and everything in between. We're looking for a reliable audio editor to clean up and polish our episodes on a per-episode basis.

This is gig work. You'll be paid per episode on a consistent schedule. If you're good and easy to work with, this is a relationship that grows.

WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES

Audio editing for each episode — cleanup, noise reduction, cuts, leveling, and drop-in of intro and outro. You'll also tastefully weave in segment transitions, short song clips, and occasional game audio throughout each episode. We'll provide direction on where and what, but you'll need a good ear for how to make it land naturally. You're not sourcing music or building anything from scratch. You're making us sound clean, tight, and professional.

Episodes run approximately one hour. We release one to three episodes per month.

One thing worth saying plainly: we want a real editor. If your process runs everything through an AI tool and calls it done, this isn't the right fit. We can tell the difference and it matters to us.

TO APPLY

Tell us a little about your background in audio editing and share any podcasts you've worked on. Walk us through your editing process — we're genuinely interested in how you work. Links or examples are welcome. Two questions we ask everyone to make sure they've read this far: what's your favorite video game of all time, and what podcast are you enjoying right now? Include both answers in your application.

We're looking forward to hearing from you.
