Remote | Contract or Part-Time (Ongoing Work, Core Processing Team)
We are an aerial survey and geospatial data company supporting large-area and corridor-scale projects across infrastructure, energy, and mapping. We’re looking for an experienced Photogrammetry & LiDAR Processing Specialist to become part of our core processing team.
This role is for someone who has processed real, large datasets, understands accuracy and QC, and can independently take projects from raw data to client-ready deliverables.
What You’ll Work On
You will support a mix of photogrammetry, LiDAR, and multi-sensor projects, including:
Photogrammetry (Large-Scale)
Process large RGB and multi-band datasets
Generate:
Orthomosaics
Dense point clouds
DSM / DTM
Handle large-area tiling, blending, seamlines, and edge matching
Optimize workflows for performance and accuracy at scale
LiDAR Processing
Process raw LiDAR point clouds (LAS/LAZ)
Clean, classify, and QC point clouds
Ground classification for topographic products
Generate:
Bare earth DEM / DTM
DSM
Contours (project-specified intervals)
Prepare classified point clouds suitable for engineering, utility, or government use
Multi-Sensor Integration
Integrate RGB imagery with LiDAR
Support combined LiDAR + photogrammetry workflows
Ensure spatial consistency across datasets
Software & Tools (You Don’t Need All, But You Need Depth)
Core
Agisoft Metashape (strongly preferred)
LAStools / TerraScan / TerraModeler
Global Mapper
QGIS / ArcGIS
CloudCompare
Nice to Have
Experience with Applanix / Trimble trajectories
Understanding of PPK / GNSS workflows
Experience working with very large datasets (hundreds of GB to TB)
Quality, Accuracy & Ownership
Validate horizontal and vertical accuracy
Understand projections, datums, and coordinate systems
Perform QC checks and fix classification or alignment issues
Deliver data that is ready for client use, not “close enough”
Flag data quality issues early and propose solutions
Who This Role Is For
You should apply if you:
Have real experience processing large-scale photogrammetry and/or LiDAR
Have delivered orthomosaics and point clouds at scale
Can work independently and manage your own processing pipeline
Understand why accuracy, consistency, and documentation matter
Want to be part of a long-term processing team, not just one project
This role is not a fit if:
You’ve only processed small drone datasets
You rely entirely on default settings without understanding outcomes
You need constant step-by-step instruction
Working Style
Remote and async-friendly
Clear scopes and milestones
You own your processing tasks end-to-end
Ongoing work available for the right person
How to Apply
Please include:
A brief overview of your photogrammetry and LiDAR experience
Examples of large-scale projects you’ve processed (area size, data type)
Software tools you are proficient in
Sample outputs or screenshots (if available)
Your availability and hourly or project-based rate
