JOB OVERVIEW

About the Channel:
The Balloon Boutique Studio is a YouTube channel dedicated to balloon decorating tutorials, event décor inspiration, behind-the-scenes content, and creative business growth. We currently have 7,270+ subscribers and are actively growing toward 10,000 subscribers.

Our audience includes balloon artists, event planners, DIY decorators, creative entrepreneurs, and party enthusiasts.

About the Role:
I am looking for a talented, detail-oriented, and reliable part-time video editor who can take raw long-form footage and transform it into polished, engaging YouTube videos that match the fun, festive, colorful personality of the channel.

Most long-form videos average approximately 11–13 minutes once edited, although some may be shorter or longer depending on the content.

This is an editing-focused role, but it also includes selecting and publishing short-form clips through our Opus Clips subscription. You will work as part of a small content team. For long-form videos, you will edit the finished video and hand it off to the Content Optimizer for final publishing. For Shorts, you will use Opus Clips to identify the strongest clips from published long-form content and publish the selected Shorts to YouTube Shorts and TikTok through the Opus Clips platform.

Projects will be managed through Trello, where assignments, deadlines, checklists, updates, and communication will take place. Raw footage, working files, and final edited assets will be organized through Google Drive. You must be comfortable following a project management workflow and keeping communication organized inside Trello.

This is an ongoing part-time role that averages approximately up to 10 hours per week. The workload may vary from week to week depending on the amount of content. Some weeks may require fewer hours, while other weeks may require more, but the goal is for the workload to average out over time.

Compensation:
This role will begin with a 30-day trial period at a starting project rate of $45 per week, which equals $180 for the first month.

During the first 30 days, you will track the actual time spent on editing and submit your hours along with your weekly invoice. After the first 30 days, we will review the actual workload together and discuss any necessary compensation adjustments so the arrangement remains fair based on the time required.

Please only apply if you are comfortable beginning at the stated 30-day trial rate. This role is not a fit for applicants who are requesting a higher starting rate before the initial 30-day review period.

BONUS Opportunity:
There is also a performance bonus connected to the channel’s growth goal of reaching 10,000 subscribers.

$150 bonus if the channel reaches 10,000 subscribers within 90 days
$100 bonus if the channel reaches 10,000 subscribers within 120 days

Your Responsibilities:

* Edit long-form YouTube tutorial, event, and behind-the-scenes videos from raw footage
* Edit videos with strong pacing, clear storytelling, and a polished viewer experience
* Add captions, lower thirds, and text overlays where needed

* Add background music at appropriate levels without overpowering the original audio
* Clean up audio where needed
* Upload or organize edited long-form videos in the correct Google Drive folder
* Update the appropriate Trello card with progress, questions, completion notes, and final links
* Prepare final edited long-form videos for review and handoff to the Content Optimizer
* Use our Opus Clips subscription to identify the strongest short-form clips from published long-form videos
* Select approximately 2–3 of the strongest Shorts from each applicable long-form video
* Edit Shorts in vertical 9:16 format when needed
* Add captions, text overlays, and simple CTA text where appropriate
* Publish selected Shorts to YouTube Shorts and TikTok through the Opus Clips platform

Requirements:

* Minimum 1 year of video editing experience preferred
