JOB OVERVIEW

Here's the revised post with a lower, more discreet pay range:

Job Title: Part-Time AI Engineer / Automation Specialist (Build AI Agents & Tools for Amazon Agency)
Hours: 5–10 hours per week to start, with room to grow
Type: Part-time, ongoing
Pay: $5/hour during a 30-day trial period, with a bump to $8–$10/hour after based on performance and quality of builds
About the Role
I run a boutique Amazon agency based in NYC, and I'm looking for a technical AI builder to help me design, build, and maintain AI agents and automation tools that make my team more efficient and our client work sharper.
You won't be writing ChatGPT prompts. You'll be building real tools — agents that pull data, summarize it, take action, and integrate with the platforms we already use (Amazon SP-API, Advertising API, ---------- , Google Sheets, BigQuery, Slack, Gmail, Fireflies).
This is a long-term role for someone who genuinely loves building with AI. If you do well, there's room to grow into a lead role on the AI side of the agency.
What You'll Build

AI agents that pull data from Amazon SP-API and Advertising API and produce weekly client reports
Internal tools that summarize Fireflies meeting transcripts into action items and push them to ----------
Agents that monitor client account health (storage fees, suppressed listings, ad performance anomalies) and flag issues to the team
Lead research and enrichment workflows that combine Apollo, LinkedIn, and AI to qualify prospects faster
Custom GPTs or Claude projects for specific internal workflows (creative briefs, listing audits, ad account audits)
Slack/Gmail-integrated assistants that the team can actually use day-to-day

Required Experience

Hands-on experience building with the OpenAI API, Anthropic API (Claude), or similar — you can show me agents or tools you've actually shipped
Comfortable with at least one agent framework or orchestration tool (LangChain, LlamaIndex, n8n, Make, Zapier with AI steps, CrewAI, or similar)
Solid Python or JavaScript skills — enough to build, debug, and maintain integrations
Experience working with REST APIs and OAuth (this is a big part of the job)
Comfortable with Google Sheets and BigQuery, or willing to ramp fast
Strong written English and clear communication — I need to understand what you're building and why

Nice to Have

Experience with Amazon SP-API or Advertising API (huge plus)
Experience building on ---------- , Slack, or Gmail APIs
Familiarity with vector databases, RAG, or fine-tuning workflows
Background working with US-based agencies, ecommerce, or DTC brands
Experience deploying to cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Vercel, Replit)

How We'll Work Together

Weekly async kickoff on what to build and why
You build, test, and document
Short Loom or written walkthrough on each tool you ship
I'll be hands-on early, then step back as trust builds

Compensation & Growth

Starting rate: $5/hour during a 30-day trial period
After 30 days: bump to $8–$10/hour based on performance, reliability, and quality of builds
Strong performers will have the opportunity to take on more hours and a broader role on the AI side of the agency over time

To Apply
Please send me a message that includes:

Links to 2–3 AI agents or tools you've personally built — GitHub, Loom demos, screenshots, or live links all work. If it's under NDA, describe what it did and what you built.
The AI APIs and frameworks you've worked with most (be specific — model names, libraries, deployment platforms)
One example of an AI tool you'd want to build for an Amazon agency, and a 2–3 sentence sketch of how you'd build it
Your available hours per week and time zone
Your hourly rate in USD
At the top of your reply, write the word "Agent-Lucra" so I know you read this carefully

Applications without these six items, especially #1, will not be reviewed.
Looking forward to seeing what you've built!
