Read this fully. This is a long-term role with a real, growing U.S. company, not a one-off gig.
We are an established U.S.-based M&A advisory and business brokerage firm headquartered in Utah. We guide business owners through three stages: Value (a certified valuation so they know what their company is worth), Scale (growing the business to maximize its future worth), and Exit (selling when they're ready).
Many of these owners spent 20 or 30 years building their companies. The conversations you'll start are meaningful, and we treat them, and you, with that level of respect.
We're hiring an Appointment Setter and outbound Sales Development Rep to be the friendly, professional first voice an owner hears from our firm. You are not reading a script at people. You're starting real conversations, listening for where an owner is in their journey, and booking qualified meetings with our advisors. This is a trust-based role, and we'll train you on the M&A side so you can grow with us.
What you'll actually do:
-Build and clean targeted lead lists of U.S. business owners by industry, location, revenue, and ownership signals (LinkedIn, Apollo, ZoomInfo, Google, public directories).
-Make warm and cold outbound calls,
-Have short, genuine qualifying conversations: what's the business, how big, what's their timeline, and which stage are they in.
-Book confirmed appointments for our advisors and protect their calendars from no-shows with smart reminders.
-Keep the CRM (HubSpot) spotless: every contact, note, and next step logged.
-Send a simple weekly report: dials, conversations, appointments set, and appointments held.
What success looks like
Weeks 1 to 2: you learn our offer, our talk tracks, and our ideal owner, and you start dialing with support.
By day 30: you're holding quality conversations on your own and booking your first qualified meetings.
By day 90: you're consistently filling the advisors' calendars with qualified appointments each week, with a strong show rate and a clean pipeline.
You'll be great here if you
Have 5+ years of cold calling, appointment setting, or B2B sales development experience.
Speak clear, confident, neutral-accent English. You'll be live with U.S. business owners every day.
Write professional, friendly English for follow-ups.
Stay warm and steady through rejection, and keep going.
Are organized and CRM-disciplined (HubSpot experience is a big plus).
Have a reliable computer, fast internet, a quiet space, and a good headset.
Bonus points for any exposure to M&A, business brokerage, sales, finance, or real estate.
This is probably NOT for you if
You want a non-phone, purely admin role (this job is conversations).
You're uncomfortable hearing "no" and moving to the next call.
You can't work U.S. Mountain Time hours.
Why you'll want to stay
A clear mission and a team that treats its people like partners.
Long-term stability, real ownership of your pipeline, and training in a high value industry.
Room to grow as we scale. Strong performers here move up.
Paid on time, every time.
