We're a rapidly growing NYC portrait studio and we're building our dream team — fast. We need a sharp, driven Operations Lead to make it happen.
You'll work directly alongside the studio owner, leading the full hiring process for 7 roles and then stepping into the ongoing heartbeat of the operation — keeping projects moving, contractors accountable, and deliverables on time.
This is a real role with real ownership. If you love building systems, closing loops, and seeing a team come together, this is for you.
What you'll own:
Lead interviews and hiring for 7 roles: post-production, video editing, social media, content, SEO, automation, and more
Use Claude AI and Asana to run a structured, efficient hiring process — no chaos, no manual spreadsheet tracking
Manage contractors once hired: assign work, track progress, review output
Be the quality gate before anything reaches the owner
Daily meeting to sync with the owner Lea 2–6 PM EST — outside that, you run the show independently
You're the one if:
You have an engineering background — we need structured thinkers who build systems, not patch problems
You've owned projects from start to finish and have the receipts to prove it
Your English is excellent — you'll be the face of this studio in every hiring conversation
You're a natural closer — follow-ups are automatic for you, nothing slips
AI tools are already part of how you work
