Online Homeschool Teacher (Reading & Math – U.S. Standards)

We are looking for reliable and structured homeschool teachers to work one-on-one with a student in:
- Reading / Writing (ELA)
- Math (Middle School to Early High School Level)
This role is presented as high-level academic instruction, and we are seeking teachers who can:
• Teach with structure and clarity
• Guide reading, annotation, and writing
• Support math problem-solving step-by-step
• Build strong comprehension and analytical thinking skills
This is a homeschool setting, so you must be comfortable leading instruction independently and keeping the student engaged.

### ???? Responsibilities
Reading / Writing (ELA):
• Guide student through reading passages
• Teach annotation (underlining, notes, key ideas)
• Support comprehension questions (multiple choice + short answer)
• Guide writing assignments:
- Paragraphs
- Essays
- Evidence-based responses
• Reinforce grammar and mechanics

Math:
• Guide student through math problems step-by-step
• Ensure student shows work and explains thinking
• Correct mistakes in real time
• Reinforce key math concepts and skills
• Use structured problem-solving approach

General:
• Keep the student focused and actively participating
• Provide feedback and correct errors immediately
• Maintain structured, engaging sessions

You will teach using:
• Lumos Learning (Math & ELA)
• Performance Coach (Reading/Writing & Math)
• IXL (skills practice and review)
???? Your role is to teach and guide, not create lessons.

We are looking for someone who:
• Has strong English communication skills
• Has experience teaching, tutoring, or homeschooling
• Can explain concepts clearly and patiently
• Is reliable, consistent, and on time every day
• Can lead a session without supervision

• Background in Education, Math, or English
• Experience with U.S. curriculum
• Familiarity with:
- Reading comprehension strategies
- Writing instruction
- Math instruction
