Online Academic Tutor (Math and/or Science)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Online Academic Tutor to deliver high-quality virtual instruction in Mathematics and/or Science to students from Kindergarten through to Year 12 across Australia. The ideal candidate will foster confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning by delivering engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum.

This role offers flexibility, allowing tutors to specialize in Mathematics, Science, or both subjects, depending on their expertise and experience.

Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engaging, age-appropriate online lessons in Mathematics and/or Science to students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
2. Develop and implement customized lesson plans based on the Australian Curriculum and individual student learning needs.
3. Reinforce key concepts based on subject expertise:
- Mathematics: numeracy, algebra, geometry, statistics, calculus, and problem-solving
- Science: biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and general scientific inquiry
4. Simplify complex concepts using interactive teaching strategies, visual aids, and digital learning resources.
5. Assess student understanding and provide regular, constructive feedback to support academic improvement.
6. Prepare engaging learning materials, exercises, quizzes, and assessments suitable for online learning.
7. Monitor and maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance outcomes.
8. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student development and areas for improvement.
9. Encourage critical thinking, analytical skills, and confidence in learning.
10. Participate in tea ---------- etings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development initiatives.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field; teaching qualification or relevant certification preferred.
2. Experience teaching or tutoring Mathematics and/or Science to Kindergarten, Primary, or Secondary students (online teaching experience highly regarded).
3. Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum in Mathematics and/or Science.
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.
6. Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional home teaching environment.
7. Patient, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed academically.
