We’re currently looking for an On-Page Local SEO Expert who can help us take our client websites to the next level in search visibility and user experience.

Position Summary

As our On-Page Local SEO Expert, you’ll be responsible for optimizing content, page structure, and metadata to boost local search performance. You’ll work closely with our content team and developers to implement best practices across client websites—primarily on WordPress. Familiarity with SEO tools like Surfer SEO, Yoast, and other on-page optimization platforms is essential.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive on-page SEO audits for local business websites
• Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headers (H1–H6), and URL structures for local relevance and search intent
• Create and implement internal linking strategies to improve site structure and crawlability
• Collaborate with writers to guide content optimization using tools like Surfer SEO, Frase, or similar
• Analyze page-level keyword targeting and make strategic recommendations
• Optimize WordPress pages using SEO plugins (e.g., Yoast SEO, Rank Math)
• Maintain consistency in schema markup and local SEO signals (NAP, location-based content)
• Monitor performance via tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
• Stay up to date with the latest in on-page and local SEO trends

Qualifications
• Proven experience in on-page SEO with a strong focus on local search optimization
• Hands-on knowledge of WordPress site editing and plugin configuration
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices, especially for local business websites
• Proficient with Surfer SEO, or similar content optimization tools
• Familiarity with internal linking strategies, SEO writing, and keyword placement
• Basic understanding of technical SEO and site performance factors
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have
• Experience working with local service-based businesses
• Familiarity with schema markup, especially for local businesses
• Experience with conversion optimization (bonus!)
• Understanding of UX principles related to SEO
