We run a growing YouTube documentary channel. Think high-production, narrative-driven content — not cheap explainer videos. We're scaling fast and need someone who can match the visual standard we're building toward.
What You'll Be Working On
Motion graphics for long-form YouTube documentaries — maps, timelines, data visualizations, title cards, lower thirds, transitions, and full scene animations that keep viewers locked in. The reference point is channels like Magnates Media and THIRD Network. If you don't know those channels, go watch them before applying.
What We Need From You
- Strong After Effects skills — this is non-negotiable
- Ability to animate maps (territorial changes, troop movements, trade routes, etc.)
- Clean typographic animation and data visualization
- A portfolio that actually shows motion work, not just static design
- Ability to work from a script or storyboard brief with minimal hand-holding
- Fast turnaround — we produce regularly and need someone who can keep up
- Attention to detail on timing, easing, and overall polish
Bonus Points
- Experience with historical or documentary content
- Familiar with Premiere Pro workflow (for handoff)
- Can do basic sound design or knows how to leave space for it
How to Apply
Send your portfolio link and two or three examples most relevant to documentary-style motion work. One line about why you're the right fit. No cover letter essays — your work does the talking.
