Mobile App Developer (React Native)

We’re looking for a talented Mobile App Developer to join our remote-first team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality, responsive mobile applications using React Native, TypeScript, and modern mobile development tools.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
* Build responsive, performant, and user-friendly mobile experiences across iOS and Android platforms.
* Work with Expo, Xcode, Android Studio, and mobile development workflows to build, test, and deploy applications.
* Integrate third-party APIs, including reading, understanding, and applying API documentation.
* Work with backend services, databases, and APIs to deliver complete mobile features.
* Implement clean UI components and follow mobile UX best practices.
* Utilise AI-powered tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude, and similar) to accelerate development while maintaining high code quality and exercising sound engineering judgment over AI-generated output.
* Collaborate with other developers and/or stakeholders to refine requirements, propose technical solutions, and deliver features on agreed timelines.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
* Manage app releases, updates, and deployments through relevant mobile platforms.
* Produce clear technical documentation for features, architectural decisions, and processes.
* Communicate proactively and clearly within a remote team, including written updates and participation in online meetings across UK-Philippines time zones.

Must-Have Skills:

* Strong proficiency in React Native and TypeScript.
* Proven experience building and shipping mobile applications for iOS and Android.
* Strong understanding of React principles, component architecture, and state management.
* Experience working with REST APIs, third-party integrations, and backend services.
* Familiarity with mobile development tools including Expo, Xcode, and Android Studio.
* Understanding of responsive layouts, mobile UI patterns, and performance optimisation.
* Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining engineering judgment and security best practices.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

* Experience with Supabase or PostgreSQL-backed applications.
* Experience deploying apps through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
* Familiarity with Next.js, React web applications, or full-stack development.
* Experience with push notifications, deep linking, offline storage, or mobile analytics.
* Experience with Vercel, serverless functions, or backend integrations.
