We’re looking for a hands-on technical performance marketing specialist to help us fix, optimize, and scale our paid acquisition funnels.



The immediate focus is Meta Ads infrastructure: Pixel, Conversions API, GTM, event tracking, custom conversions/events, and attribution accuracy. Longer term, we want someone who can help build and improve funnels across additional channels such as Google Ads, landing pages, analytics, and conversion tracking systems.



This is not a general social media role. We need someone who is strong technically and can diagnose how tracking, attribution, and funnel structure affect ad performance.

[[[ Skills & Qualifications ]]]



We are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in:



Meta Ads Manager campaign setup, optimization, and troubleshooting
Meta Pixel setup, testing, and debugging
Meta Conversions API, including server-side tracking and event deduplication
Google Tag Manager, including tags, triggers, variables, and preview/debug mode
Custom events and custom conversions
Diagnosing inaccurate, duplicate, or misfiring conversion events
Mapping and tracking full paid acquisition funnels
GA4 or similar analytics tools
Landing page and funnel conversion optimization
Clear documentation of tracking architecture and event logic


The ideal candidate should be able to trace a conversion event from the ad click all the way through the landing page, form/application, booking system, CRM, and Meta Ads Manager reporting.



Must-Have Experience

You should have strong hands-on experience with:

Meta Ads Manager
Meta Pixel
Meta Conversions API
Google Tag Manager
Custom events and custom conversions
Event tracking and debugging
Browser-side vs server-side tracking
Event deduplication
GA4 or similar analytics tools
Paid funnel tracking and conversion optimization


Bonus skills:

Zapier: Designing automated workflows and integrations.
SEO: Managing technical on-page visibility.
AEO: Optimizing content for AI search.




You should be able to confidently answer questions like:

Why is Meta reporting conversions that did not actually happen?
Which button, page load, or server event is firing this conversion?
Is Meta optimizing toward the right action?
Are events duplicated, misfiring, or firing too early in the funnel?


Not a Fit If

This role is probably not right if you:

Only know basic campaign setup
Mainly focus on creatives, hooks, or audience testing
Cannot work confidently in Google Tag Manager
Have not debugged Pixel/CAPI issues before
Rely only on Ads Manager numbers without validating tracking accuracy






[[[ What You’ll Work On ]]]



You will help us:

Audit our current Meta Ads tracking setup
Diagnose incorrect or misleading conversion events
Fix or rebuild Meta Pixel, CAPI, and GTM tracking
Set up clean custom events and/or custom conversions
Ensure Meta is optimizing toward the correct conversion actions
Improve attribution and reporting accuracy
Track the full funnel from ad click to landing page to lead/application/booking
Identify funnel drop-off points and recommend improvements
Support future funnel buildouts across Meta, Google, and other paid channels

- Time Zone: Commitment to work within or have significant overlap with the Pacific Standard Time (PST) zone.

- Platforms: Our team uses ClickUp, Slack, Sharepoint, Lastpass, Canva, and Hubstaff. Strong proficiency in these platforms is required.
