Medical Virtual Assistant (Dermatology Practice)

HIRING: Medical Virtual Assistant (Dermatology Practice) – $6/hr

Our client is a rapidly growing dermatology practice seeking a full-time Medical Virtual Assistant to join their team. They provide a full spectrum of medical and cosmetic skin care and are looking for a bright, highly motivated virtual assistant who can start ASAP.

Tech-Savvy Environment: This practice operates with DrChrono, Google Workspace (Gmail), and electronic faxing platforms.

Position Details:
- Full-time role
- Start Date: ASAP
- 100% Remote

Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Documentation: Review patient schedules in advance, prepare visit notes, and ensure the in-office medical assistant is aware of necessary follow-ups.
- Fax Management: Sort and distribute faxes from DrChrono and eFax appropriately.
- Prescription Assistance: Follow up on patient prescriptions with pharmacies and communicate with patients regarding status.
- Referral Coordination: Communicate with other clinics via phone and email to track referrals.
- Prescription Refill Approvals: Approve/deny requests based on practice protocols and collaborate with the clinical team.
- Prior Authorizations: Submit prior authorization requests for medications, procedures, and treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical Terminology Knowledge – Dermatology experience is a plus!
- Exceptional Communication Skills – High proficiency in American English.
- Strong Computer Skills – Experience with EMR systems is a must.
- Familiarity with Prescription & Insurance Processing
