We are a UK-based Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Consultancy.. We provide innovative engineering design solutions across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, hospitality, healthcare, education, distilleries, and food and drink manufacturing.

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to join our growing team and support the delivery of projects throughout the United Kingdom.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with our UK-based engineers to produce high-quality mechanical building services designs and documentation for a variety of exciting projects.

This is a long-term remote position offering the opportunity to become an integral part of our expanding consultancy.

Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical building services systems for UK projects.
Produce HVAC, heating, cooling and ventilation designs.
Design domestic hot and cold water services and public health systems.
Prepare mechanical calculations and equipment schedules.
Produce drawings and coordinated models using BIM software.
Develop detailed layouts using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
Coordinate designs with electrical engineers, architects and structural engineers.
Assist with technical reports, specifications and tender documentation.
Attend online design meetings with the UK project team where required.
Ensure all work complies with UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidance and relevant British Standards.
Essential Requirements
Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Proven experience working on UK Mechanical Building Services projects.
Strong understanding of:
UK Building Regulations
CIBSE Guides
British Standards
HVAC design principles
Domestic water services
Public health engineering
Heat pump systems
Mechanical design calculations
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP/BIM).
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a UK-based team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Desirable Skills
Experience designing systems for hotels, healthcare facilities, commercial buildings or distilleries.
Knowledge of energy-efficient and low-carbon building services design.
Familiarity with UK planning and building warrant processes.
Experience using mechanical design software such as Hevacomp, IES VE, Cymap or similar.
