About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. This role requires deep, practical expertise across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server environments, and advanced support capabilities to resolve complex technical issues and deliver IT projects for our Managed Services clients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide Level 3 escalation support for our MSP clients, resolving complex infrastructure, cloud, and systems issues efficiently.
Design, implement, and optimise Azure infrastructure solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and hybrid integrations.
Administer and manage Microsoft 365 tenants, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, security, and compliance configurations.
Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including core roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file services.
Lead and deliver a range of IT projects, such as:
Client onboarding and environment handover
Network upgrades and reconfigurations
Microsoft 365 migrations
Infrastructure modernisation and optimisation
Ensure security best practices are embedded within all solutions, including conditional access, MFA, identity governance, and role-based access controls.
Perform root cause analysis and proactively recommend improvements to client environments.
Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, handover guides, and internal knowledge base articles.
Requirements
? Proficiency and expertise (high to expert level) in:
Microsoft 365: Administration, configuration, security, compliance, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune.
Azure: Deployment, configuration, management of VMs, networking, storage, security policies, Azure AD, identity management, conditional access, RBAC, and monitoring.
Windows Server: Installation, administration, troubleshooting of Windows Server environments and core roles (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
Networking fundamentals: Understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and LAN/WAN concepts in client environments.
? Experience with:
PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks.
Delivering IT projects for clients in an MSP context, including migrations, network upgrades, and onboarding.
Providing advanced technical support with exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Excellent spoken and written English for clear client communication.
High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and professionalism.
Availability during AU business hours (with some flexibility as agreed).
