Job Title: Data Analyst
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary: $7-9/hour
Reports To: Principal Data Architect
Position Type: Full Time (8:00 am - 5:00 pm MST)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a proficient Data Engineer with experience using Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) to transform raw data into meaningful insights through visualizations and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical abilities and experience in building data-driven dashboards to support strategic decision-making. The candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data in a way that helps various departments understand performance trends and opportunities for improvement.

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in using Geckoboard to manage and visualize data dashboards. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and experience in transforming raw data into actionable insights. This role will involve collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to help teams make informed business decisions in real time. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis, documenting KPIs, data visualization and reporting. The overall goal is to reduce confusion and miscommunications with our users to establish connections with a variety of data sources, convert raw data into meaningful visualizations, and construct interactive dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Processing: Collect, organize, and manage data from various sources such as databases, CRM systems, and APIs. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency by performing data cleaning and validation. Gather, cleanse, and organize data from multiple sources, including databases, Google Analytics, CRM systems, and external APIs. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency through regular audits and validation processes.

Dashboard Creation & Management: Build, maintain, and update interactive dashboards in Looker Studio to track KPIs, trends, and business performance metrics. Tailor reports and dashboards to meet the needs of different stakeholders, including marketing, finance, sales, and executive teams. Develop, maintain, and update Geckoboard dashboards to present key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Customize dashboards to meet the specific needs of various stakeholders and departments.

Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Perform quantitative analysis using statistical methods and present findings in clear, concise reports. Support business decision-making by generating regular and ad-hoc reports. Analyze large datasets to identify key insights and actionable recommendations. Use Looker Studio to create dynamic reports that visualize trends, patterns, and outliers. Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to support business decision-making processes.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, finance, and operations, to identify business needs and dashboard requirements. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decisions and alignment with business objectives. Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and translate them into effective dashboards and reports. Collaborate with the IT and data teams to ensure seamless data integration and real-time reporting.

Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date on the latest features and best practices in Looker Studio to continuously enhance reporting capabilities. Identify opportunities to enhance data collection and reporting processes. Stay updated with best practices in data visualization, reporting, and new Geckoboard features. Identify areas to improve data collection and reporting processes for more efficient and accurate analysis.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on data visualization and reporting.
Proficiency in using Geckoboard to create and manage dashboards.
Strong understanding of data analysis tools and languages (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
Excellent data interpretation and visualization skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex findings in a simple, actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Familiarity with APIs and data integration into Geckoboard.
Strong knowledge of business metrics and performance indicators relevant to various industries.
