JOB OVERVIEW

LONG FORM AND SHORT FORM VIDEO EDITOR
Remote | Part-Time | Creative Support
Remote work setup | Must be consistently available during New York working hours

20 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Available within either of the following New York Time schedules:
8:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST

• Key Responsibilities
Editing and Post-Production
Edit long-form videos for YouTube, including content-style videos and luxury watch tour-style videos.
Create short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
Repurpose long-form content into short, engaging clips optimized for social media.
Add motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, animations, sound effects, and music.
Perform color correction, color grading, audio clean-up, and overall video refinement.

Creative and Content Strategy
Collaborate with the creative lead to understand project briefs, goals, and desired outcomes.
Craft strong narratives with engaging pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling across different video formats.
Optimize videos based on platform best practices for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
Contribute creative ideas for content direction, storytelling, and visual style.

Workflow and Asset Management
Organize and maintain project files, media assets, editing libraries, and cloud storage folders.
Manage multiple editing projects while meeting deadlines.
Export and deliver videos in different formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios depending on platform requirements.

• Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience editing both long-form and short-form video content.
Strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing professional editing work.
Experience working with a New York-based client, U.S.-based client, or a client operating in EST time zone is highly preferred.
Proficiency in at least one major editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects.
Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, rhythm, and audience retention strategies.
Experience creating platform-optimized content for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment and meet deadlines.
Comfortable using AI tools to assist with editing, content generation, and workflow efficiency.
Very important must-have: strong motion graphics or animation skills.

• ?Tools Proficiency Requirement
Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects.
Basic familiarity with AI editing tools and content generation tools.
Google Drive or other cloud storage systems for file management.
Motion graphics or animation tools are highly preferred.

• Nice to Have
Experience working with creative agencies, social media brands, or content-driven businesses.
Understanding of social media trends, audience behavior, and platform algorithms.
Experience editing lifestyle, luxury, real estate, design-focused, or high-end brand content.
Experience repurposing YouTube content into short-form clips for multiple platforms.
