Role Summary:
The Logistics Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support to the Logistics Department in managing order fulfillment, transportation coordination, core returns, and warranty-related logistics activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, updating internal systems, monitoring shipment status, and supporting day-to-day logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient execution of business processes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for the logistics department to the entire logistics department.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain logistics documentation, records, and shipment files.
- Create, update, and monitor shipment records in company systems and trackers.
- Coordinate shipment scheduling and communicate with carriers, customers, vendors, and internal departments as needed.
- Track shipment status and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in processing shipping documents including Bills of Lading (BOL), Proofs of Delivery (POD), carrier confirmations, and related records.
- Maintain accurate records of serial numbers, shipment details, return information, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor open logistics transactions and follow up on pending items to ensure timely completion.
- Support warranty and core return processes by collecting, organizing, and updating required documentation and records.
- Assist with freight-related inquiries, documentation requests, and issue resolution.
- Ensure logistics files and records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and administrative documentation as requested by management.
- Perform other logistics and administrative support duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience, with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in logistics administration, transportation support, supply chain coordination, or a similar logistics-related role supporting U.S. operations.
- Experience working with shipping documentation, transportation coordination, order processing, or logistics administration.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Google Suits, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Relevant qualifications are an advantage but not required:
- Experience supporting order fulfillment, transportation, or warehouse-related processes
- Strong knowledge and experience in US LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) Logistics
- Familiarity with freight, carrier coordination, shipment tracking, and logistics documentation
