We are looking to hire a long-term, full-time bookkeeping specialist for our growing U.S.-based law firm (20-25 attorneys).
The Bookkeeping Specialist will need to work from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. U.S. Central Time. This individual will join our current billing team and assist with bookkeeping and billing tasks including:

- Accurately tracking expenses and incoming payments in Quickbooks Online.
- Assisting with payroll / employee time tracking to ensure employees are accurately compensated.
- Assisting as needed to track employee time off, vacation, sick time, maternity, etc.
- IOLTA Accounting: accurately and properly tracking client trust fund accounts in accordance with firm guidelines.
-- Billing/Accounts Receivable --
- Generate invoices for client matters using Quickbooks Online.
- Edit time-billing entries of attorneys and paralegals consistent with firm guidelines to create a polished invoice for our clients.
- Follow up with employees of the firm to ensure their billing entries are input into the system prior to running invoicing.
- Creating Quickbooks Online reports as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: The following skills and characteristics are required:
- Experience in bookkeeping and/or billing at a US-based law firm that bills hourly and handled client trust accounts. Full training will be provided, but the candidate needs to have some background knowledge and hands-on experience doing this type of work.

- Experience working nights. This is a night shift position for those working in the Philippines. People without night shift experience will not be considered.
- Excellent internet connection and a quiet place to work. The firm wants our clients to have an excellent experience when they call. Therefore, your connection must be reliable and there cannot be distracting background noise. You will be expected to work from your own home with a high-speed connection.
- Fast learner and strong desire to improve their skills with training and continuing education.
- Comfort with common software suites (Google and Microsoft products) and ability to learn other software used by the team.

This job is not for companies, contractors working for multiple clients, or those who have never worked online before. Because this is a full-time job, side-projects are not allowed.
PAY RATE: $6 per hour during training, $8 per hour after 3 months. Salary will be paid twice per month every two weeks.
BENEFITS: We pay a 13th month bonus (equal to the average of one month’s pay, prorated for partial years). Vacation and sick time can be requested but are not paid during the first year. 2 weeks per year paid vacation. 5 sick days per year. 12-14 paid holidays per year (depending on which day the holiday falls). SSS reimbursement of up to $50 per month. Philhealth reimbursement up to $50 per month. Private health insurance reimbursement of up to $30 per month.
TECHNOLOGY: You will be expected to supply your own computer and reliable high-speed internet connection. Your computer must be modern enough to run the current version of Microsoft Office, VOIP software, video conferencing software, and a variety of modern web applications.
LOCATION PREFERENCE: Philippines
HOURS PER WEEK: 40 hours per week. 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Central Time. Working before or after hours or on weekends is never required.
