Junior Technical Business Analyst - API & Data Aggregation

Position Overview

We're seeking a detail-oriented Junior Technical Business Analyst to analyze and optimize our financial accounting data aggregation processes. You'll be responsible for mapping APIs, identifying data gaps, and ensuring data integrity across our systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze existing APIs and data structures to support aggregation requirements
- Identify missing data points, inconsistencies, and structural issues
- Document API endpoints, data flows, and integration patterns
- Propose solutions for data quality issues and aggregation challenges
- Collaborate with development teams to implement correct data handling practices
- Create detailed technical specifications and data mapping documentation

Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and how they function
- Solid grasp of data structures and relationships
- Experience working with JSON and API documentation
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Ability to identify patterns, anomalies, and edge cases in data
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation
- Good understanding of double-entry book-keeping

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, etc.)
- Knowledge of data validation and quality assurance practices
