JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a full-time Junior/Intermediate After Effects Designer who wants to become an expert in Adobe After Effects and motion graphics.

We (Motion Current) have been creating professional motion graphics for more than 20 years. Our work usually displayed on large LED screens and jumbotrons for casinos, banks, car dealerships, sports stadiums, and other businesses. ----------

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys learning, solving problems, and improving their skills every day.

You do not need to be an expert today. We are looking for someone who is motivated, dependable, and excited to learn.

The most important requirement is a strong desire to become an After Effects expert.

What We Are Looking For:
• Reliable and dependable
• Good communication skills
• Able to follow instructions
• Comfortable asking questions when needed
• Willing to learn (mostly) independently
• Interested in a long-term career in motion graphics
• Enjoys using AI tools to learn faster, solve problems, and generate graphics.

We expect the person we hire to spend a significant amount of time learning Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Check in through chat at the beginning of each workday is required. I don't want to use Timeproof unless necessary.
• Check out through chat at the end of each workday.
• Submit a daily report showing what you learned, created, or worked on.
• Include links to tutorials, resources, or projects completed during the day. We'll provide you with a ---------- account.
• Create motion graphic advertisements and animation projects.
• Continue learning new After Effects techniques and workflows.

First Few Weeks:
During the first few weeks, your main goal will be learning and practicing Adobe After Effects.

You will follow online tutorials (YouTube, chatgpt, other online resources), complete exercises (AI can help you learn faster), and build projects while learning. You should be familiar and comfortable with Keyframes, Layers, Animation basics, Rendering and exporting, and Project organization. Multiple 10-second projects are expected each week during this stage.

Next Stage:
As your skills improve, you will begin creating original motion graphics without relying on step-by-step tutorials. You will be able to build / modify assets in Adobe Photoshop or using AI that are used in your motion graphic animations. You should be comfortable with Easy Easing, Masks, Blend Modes, Motion design principles, and Professional workflows. Multiple 10-second projects will continue to be expected each week.

Long-Term Growth:
Over time, the goal is to become an advanced After Effects designer. You will be able to recreate almost any type of commercial motion graphic you see. You know how to build advanced projects from scratch, create reusable After Effects templates, work with expressions, build complex pre-compositions, design projects for multiple screen sizes and aspect ratios, create graphics using AI-generated and custom-built assets.

As your skills continue to grow, you will also learn Blender, Video Copilot Element 3D, and other 3D animation and motion design workflows.

Requirements:
• Your own computer. It needs to be able to run Adobe After Effects 2026.
• Internet connection. We will ask you about your speed and how frequently you have outages.
• Interest in learning and using AI tools.

After you are hired, we'll provide an Adobe license and access to share files on ---------- .

Work Schedule:
The first few days of training and onboarding will be completed during our time zone (Mountain Time Zone) of the United States. We're based in Utah. Once training and onboarding is completed, expectations are understood, and communication systems are established, you can transition to working Philippine hours.

Please include a portfolio, website, demo reel, or examples of your motion graphics work. Applications without examples of any type of graphics work will not be considered.

If you advance to the interview process, you will be required to complete a 5 to 10 minute test in After Effects during the interview process with us so we can evaluate your current level of skill in After Effects. This will be done during the video call interview. We will share monitors and allow you to have keyboard and mouse control temporarily to do this test. This test will be on a PC (Windows 11) with After Effects 2026. We will show you a completed motion graphic 10-second animation and give you the assets (images/videos) required to recreate this animation. You will be given 5 to 10 minutes to recreate the completed animation.

Application Instructions:
To confirm that you read this entire job posting, begin your application with the words: "AE is After Effects".

Long-Term Opportunity:
We are looking for someone to grow with our company for years, not weeks or months. The right person can eventually become our Lead Template Designer and help build our growing motion graphics template library.

Compensation:
Starting salary: $1,200 - $2,000 USD per month, depending on experience, skill level, and portfolio. This amount does not include any additional money to cover the 2% forex fee. Payment will be processed through Easypay / Payoneer.

Annual performance reviews and salary increases are available as skills improve and responsibilities grow.
