JOB OVERVIEW

Oppic is a growing UK accounting practice supporting business owners across a range of industries. We combine accounting expertise with modern technology and are looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join our remote team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bookkeeping, likes working with software and systems, and wants to develop their career within a supportive team.

What you'll be doing:
• Processing bookkeeping transactions in Xero
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Reviewing client records and identifying missing information
• Maintaining accurate digital records
• Following documented processes and checklists
• Supporting the wider accounting team with ad hoc tasks
• Learning and developing your knowledge of UK bookkeeping and accounting

What we're looking for
Essential
• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Good written and spoken English
• Comfortable working remotely and independently
• Confident using technology and learning new software
• Organised and able to manage deadlines
• Reliable internet connection and suitable home working environment

Desirable
• Experience using Xero
• Experience working with accounting or bookkeeping software
• Experience supporting a UK, Australian or other international business
• Exposure to VAT or payroll processes
