YOHANNAN is seeking a dedicated journalist to join a powerful, purpose-driven project focused on women and babies living in poverty—particularly in the slums of Manila, Philippines. This is not just an assignment. It’s a calling to witness, document, and amplify the voices of those too often unheard.

We are seeking a Journalist to work remotely on a contractual basis. This position will involve producing high-quality content across a range of platforms to engage and inform our readers.

The candidate:
- Is an empathetic listener and skilled interviewer
- Can build trust with vulnerable communities, particularly women and mothers
- Has a proven ability to tell human-centered stories with dignity, accuracy, and respect
- Is ready to work on the ground in challenging environments with cultural sensitivity
- Has a commitment to ethical storytelling, especially when working with children and marginalized groups

What you'll be doing
- Researching and writing compelling news articles, feature stories, and other editorial content
- Interviewing relevant sources and subject matter experts to gather information for stories
- Fact-checking and proofreading content to ensure accuracy and quality
- Adhering to established editorial guidelines and publishing schedules

What we're looking for
- No experience needed as a journalist but beneficial. Have a track record or portfolio of written or media works.
- Excellent research, reporting, and storytelling skills
- Keen eye for detail and ability to fact-check information
- Familiarity with the Advertising, Arts & Media industry, particularly the Journalism & Writing sub-sector
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the editorial team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
