Susie is a successful Amazon Seller of 5 years with a deep understanding of how Amazon works. Currently running 1 brand in the competitive niche of dog products on Amazon.com, she creates products that make dog owner’s lives easier. Susie puts a great focus on: DETAIL-ORIENTATION, SELF-INITIATIVE, COMMITMENT, CRITICAL THINKING.

Susie is stressed though, as she is spreading herself too thin and has too little time to work on product development to grow the product line. Then she met YOU.?

WHAT JOB DO WE OFFER?

A new position of Inventory & Logistics Manager to take over all activities related to the entire inventory management process. We need someone who can just take care of all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks without running back to Susie every 5 minutes. You know - coordinating with FBA, AWD, 3PL’s, warehousing solutions, factories and freight forwarders to ensure our inventory is accounted for at all times. Along with maintaining and updating inventory quantities, location, forecasts and historical records that are prepared on time and accurately. Someone who will be able to make the process run more efficiently and smoothly: with less time and effort. Someone who is passionate about data analysis, accurate records and cost-saving solutions.

This position is fully remote and is part-time but could be full-time if you have other skills to add to the business growth. Work hours are in your time zone and could be started right away.

We aren’t looking for a VA who is just waiting for the next task to be given to him/her. We need a specialist who will manage the process from the strategic and operational point of view after the onboarding period.

ROLE

The logistics and inventory manager will oversee the entire inventory management process. The ultimate goal of this position is to never run out of inventory on a product while at the same time not over supplying goods to the Amazon warehouses. Maintain an IPI score above minimum 500 on Amazon.

Coordinate with FBA, AWD, 3PL’s, warehousing solutions, factories and freight forwarders to ensure our inventory is accounted for at all times. Maintain and update inventory quantities, location, forecasts and historical records of events.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Monitor inventory levels daily
-Update inventory forecasts weekly
-Update inventory spreadsheets each time a new event is triggered (inventory purchase, stock out, new shipment, transfer, lost inventory, unit/freight/duty cost update)
-Update the team on any pertinent information regarding stock levels on weekly meetings.
-Create sales forecast and estimation of what we should order based on sales history, factory lead times, upcoming seasonality, and any promotions desired by the Brand Management team
-Manage supply chain by having direct contact with all of our suppliers, freight forwarders, 3PL's, warehouses, and Amazon
-Create Amazon FBA & AWD shipments in the Amazon Seller Central platform, reviewing all current stock, sell thru, factory stock, placement fees, storage fees to create the appropriate shipment plan.
-Maintain a strong IPI metrics above a 500 score on Amazon
-Hold factories accountable for their manufacturing deadlines
-Understanding factories production capabilities and lead times
-Quote FF rates for each shipment and select most optimized time & cost effective FF and FBA placement method.
-Working with freight forwarder holding them responsible for delivery deadlines
-Understanding our Freight Forwarders capabilities and lead times and research new FF opportunities.
-Monitor and understand the impact of shipping DDP and the impending tariff increases
-Monitor Getida reimbursements and file requested documents as soon as requested.
-Monitor FBA Fulfillment fees, file for re-measures, suggest opportunities for packaging improvements for shipping & storage cost savings.
-Integrate Shopify, Etsy, Tiktok sales into proper fulfillment channels.
-Use an effective inventory management strategy, spreadsheets and/or software
-Maintain an inventory management system that can be utilized by all team members in the business and create dashboards/scorecards that clearly state the status of all inventory held or to be held by the company.
-Communicate with the Brand Management team to liquidate any excess inventory, communicate when stock is low, and suggest which products have enough inventory for promotions.
-Maintain inventory scorecards that provide clarity to executive leadership


RESULTS

-Our IPI score is always above Amazon's minimum for no restrictions (currently 566)
-We maintain inventory levels that prevent stock-outs, but don't create an surplus which incur excessive storage fees
-Every new shipment is optimized for delivery lead time, placement fees, storage fees, FBA inventory level requirements for upcoming sales & promotional projections
-Inventory is accounted for during production, shipping, storage, and in sellable conditions.
-Up-to-date metrics are always available when needed
-Communication with factories and shipping partners is productive and further develops a positive relationship for our brand
-Our inventory management spreadsheets/software is well-maintained and provides clarity into where our inventory is located and its associated costs
-Updates to inventory status are made whenever inventory is purchased, shipped, or moved across warehouses.
-Forecasts for future purchases are maintained and updated weekly
-We are 100% clear on the whereabouts of our inventory at all times

REQUIREMENTS

-Must have current or prior experience managing FBA inventory for Amazon.
-Experience integrating Shopify, Etsy, Tiktok orders a plus.
-Someone who is already deeply involved in inventory management
-Knowledge of production capabilities, sales and supply trend
-Experience working with freight forwarders and various suppliers
-Ability to work remotely and possess his/her own laptop with a high-speed connection
-Excel or google doc EXPERT. Someone who can take complicated data and create simplified, accurate summaries.
-Must be highly analytical and a problem solver
-Takes initiative and a self-starter
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Strong attention to detail and achievement-oriented
-Excellent proficiency in English (Both spoken and written).
-Ability to plan and execute strategies independently that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
-Proficiency in Asana, Trello, Slack, Excel, Google, Office, Loom.
