About Us:
We are a startup staffing agency specializing in providing virtual assistant services to the insurance industry. Our goal is to help insurance companies optimize their operations by providing highly skilled, remote virtual assistants who can handle a range of administrative tasks and customer support functions. As we scale, we’re looking for an experienced consultant who can guide us through the process of setting up, managing, and growing our insurance staffing agency.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Staffing Consultant with a deep understanding of both the insurance industry and virtual assistant management. This individual will help us launch and scale our staffing agency, ensuring that we provide exceptional remote virtual assistants to our clients in the insurance sector. The consultant will work closely with our founding team to design systems for recruiting, managing, and tracking the performance of virtual assistants, while ensuring compliance with insurance industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Business & Operational Setup: Develop a comprehensive business plan for our staffing agency, with a focus on providing virtual assistant services for insurance companies. Guide us through the operational setup, including the tools, software, and processes needed to manage virtual assistants effectively.
Recruitment Strategy: Design a recruitment strategy to source, screen, and hire skilled virtual assistants with experience in insurance-related tasks such as claims processing, customer service, administrative support, and data entry.
Training & Onboarding: Create a training and onboarding process tailored to the insurance industry, ensuring virtual assistants understand the specific needs and workflows of insurance companies.
Performance Monitoring & Productivity: Help implement systems to monitor virtual assistant productivity, set key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure high-quality performance in line with client expectations.
Client Success & Retention: Develop processes for client onboarding, communication, and feedback, ensuring client satisfaction with our virtual assistant services.
Compliance & Legal Guidance: Advise on compliance requirements, insurance industry regulations, and legal matters related to staffing, such as contracts, liability, and insurance policies.
Requirements:
Proven experience in the staffing industry particularly with virtual assistants or remote workforce management and preferably someone who worked with an insurance agency before such as INSBOSS, AGENCY VA, LAVA AUTOMATION, PATRA, OUTSOURCE ACCESS, BRUNTWORK ETC,.
In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, including key processes and requirements.
Experience designing operational workflows, performance tracking systems, and staff training materials.
Strong understanding of technology platforms used in insurance (e.g., CRM, claims management software) and virtual assistant management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Slack).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advise, collaborate, and provide clear direction.
Strong problem-solving abilities and an entrepreneurial mindset to help us scale our agency.
Previous experience working with or consulting for staffing agencies in the insurance space is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with insurance industry regulations, privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), and compliance.
Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision.
Compensation:
Competitive, commensurate with experience. We are open to both project-based compensation or hourly rates, depending on the consultant's preference and the scope of work.
