About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instructional Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing training and assessment materials that align with Training Package requirements, the Standards for RTOs, and industry best practices. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and compliance professionals to create high-quality resources that meet the needs of learners and RTOs.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop training resources, including learner guides, assessment tools, and facilitator materials, ensuring compliance with ASQA requirements and Training Package guidelines.
• Conduct research and analysis of training requirements, industry standards, and competency frameworks.
• Collaborate with SMEs and trainers to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and engagement.
• Develop structured and engaging learning experiences using instructional design methodologies.
• Review and update existing training materials to align with regulatory changes and industry developments.
• Ensure assessment tools meet the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
• Work with multimedia developers and e-learning specialists to create digital learning resources where required.
• Ensure ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in content creation and instructional design.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Qualifications in Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, or a related field.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) – Highly Desirable.
• Experience in developing training and assessment materials for RTOs.
• Strong knowledge of Training Packages, competency-based training, and ASQA compliance.
• Excellent writing, editing, and document formatting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance.
• Understanding of the ethical use of AI in instructional design and content development – Desirable.
• Experience with LMS, e-learning tools, and digital resource development – Desirable.
